Have you ever tried finding a patented technology? Not easy, is it! Once you find the patent you have been looking for, what next? How do you access the people who will allow you to legitimately and legally use the technology? Assuming you find the right technology and the right people to talk to, will you get a good deal on the technology? Should you buy the patent, or take a license to it? What is a fair price for the technology? What are others paying for technology in the same area?

Welcome to the world of patent and technology licensing! Fortunately, there are people and tools available to help you get the right information and to help do these deals. OBSOLETE INTEGRATED CIRCUIT (SEMICONDUCTOR) PARTS REPLACEMENT

What do you do if you are running out of your supply of an integrated circuit or semiconductor that is critical to keep a legacy system in operation? Following mergers, moves and the fact that many former employees would never have thought that the system would have had such a long and useful life, many project managers find themselves in this situation:

  1. You are running out of parts
  2. You don't have the original tapes (plans) for the IC
  3. You cannot find them in the marketplace

If this is your dilemma, you are left with one choice. Reverse engineer the IC, and re-design it from scratch.

We can help. Our 15 years of experience in reverse engineering allows us to efficiently convert the chip back into schematics and layout to create a new tape. We are cognizant of issues relating to using the same geometries in the legacy IC, or if we can upgrade to modern manufacturing geometries.

Please call us for a quote for your next obsolete parts replacement project.
